Hello, my name is Red, and I’m currently on my Pokémon journey across the Kanto region. I recently stumbled across Miracle Cycle in Cerulean City thinking that I could finally buy a bike and give my sore feet a rest. Well, it turns out bikes in the region usually go for the price of a yacht, so now I need help to pay for one.
The shop owner insists that this is the standard market rate for all of the store bikes. I’ve been trying to find another biker in Kanto to see if I can find a better deal, but I can’t find a SINGLE one. (I have no idea how this shop is even in business.) The only people I’ve encountered are motorcyclists who said they got their motorcycles for just $5,000! I can afford a motorcycle, but I can’t ride one since I’m literally 10 years old.
Even though bikes here are worth significantly more than the yearly salary of the Pokémon champion, I still desperately need to buy one for myself. My little child feet are calloused like hell from running, hopping, climbing, sliding through ice, and falling down holes all throughout my adventure. I won’t be able to achieve my dreams of being a Pokémon Master at this rate without some pedals.
I hope you all understand and support my efforts to buy this bike. I come from a single mother who hasn’t much money to spare. Taking out a second mortgage on our quaint little Pallet Town house won’t even cover half of what I need, so I’m counting on the support of people who believe in my journey. Thank you!
Also I’ve been told that everyone’s bank accounts max out at $999,999 here, meaning I won’t even be able to collect the $1,000,000 if I raise it. But I guess I’ll get to that bridge when it comes.
