I’ve lived in Williamstown, New Jersey for my entire life (almost 24 years now), and nothing is more of a staple to my hometown than the local McDonald’s off of Route 322. Tragically, two months ago, the restaurant’s famous ice cream machine broke down and hasn’t been fixed since, much to the dismay of loyal customers. That’s why I’m hoping that our community and beyond can come together and pool in some money so that our delicious McFlurries can be ready to order once again.

The Williamstown McDonald’s has been a part of my life ever since I was a kid. I have several fond memories of my overworked mother buying me and my brothers a vanilla soft serve after giving in to our tantrums. So you can imagine my disappointment last night when I showed up to Mickey D’s cross-faded with my squad only to be told that the ice cream machine still isn’t working.

I was on the phone with the general manager and he said that the part replacement and service guy costs would probably be about $400. That’s a hefty price for our small town fast food business, which is why we need everyone’s support. Let’s show McDonald’s that our community cares about their ice cream machine!

If you’ve ever relied on a local business to help get you through the week, then you can empathize with our cause. And if you’re from the area, you know how important the ice cream is for our townsfolk. We can do it everyone! Please don’t force me to get a fucking Frosty the next time I go out.
