Hello everyone! I can’t believe it’s already been five months since I opened Brooke’s Books with your support. Unfortunately, due to the difficulties of maintaining a small business by myself, not to mention everyone hating books now, it’s been a bit of a struggle to stay afloat. So, I’m once again seeking your generosity to take my store to the next level—the stratosphere!

I’m pinching myself at how good of an idea this is! I was at home watching a certain 2009 Disney movie with a little rosé, and it just came to me: “If I can’t get people to visit my store, why don’t I just have my store visit them?”

Now, you might be thinking, “Is that even possible?” Don’t worry! I did my research, and it turns out there are no laws or city codes about floating your store across the sky. So we’re clear on that front. And my physicist major friend from college said that it’s “theoretically possible” with enough balloons.

All of the money that’s donated will go towards funding the helium needed to fill the many colorful balloons that I’ll be attaching to my building’s roof vent. I’m not exactly sure how much helium I need, but 600 balloons worth is probably enough (I’m trying to overshoot just in case). Just imagine—people will look up in the sky and see my beautiful bookstore flying gracefully about the town. They’ll be so enchanted, they won’t be able to help but come in and buy all of these copies of secondhand books from the 60s.

I’ll be beyond excited if we can do this, and I only need like $200! I know that money is tight, and everyone has already helped me so much, but I really need to take the next crucial step to support my small business. Help this bookworm spread her wings and become a book butterfly <3.
